To me, my ToW-Men! Brett Lord here, my fellow pop-culture connoisseurs, with my first official stab at the weekly Tales of Wonder Newsletter. After Andy's "glowing" introduction of moi back in the 04-04-07 edition (yes ladies, all that AND I read comics too), I feel the bar is set high indeed for me to make your weekly newsletter-reading experience an enjoyable one, and it's a challenge I intend to meet and defeat, my friends. My career in comics is long and storied before coming to perch here at ToW Intergalactic Headquarters in the ATL, but suffice it to say I've got over 13 years experience in the funny-book biz, so I know a thing or two about this medium we all love. I'm still learning, though, and that's what makes working at ToW, with its emphasis on collected works, all the more enjoyable. Because no matter how many comics I've read in all my years, there's always something arriving at the warehouse that I've NEVER read before, and then I'm a kid all over again. I'll bet many of you are much the same.

Before you descend into the meat-and-potatoes section below to see what arrived this week, I want to do what I can to heal your eyes from the beating they took in viewing that pic of me a few weeks back. Nobody should have to see that kind of thing. So feast your eyes on this, from the upcoming IRON MAN movie starring Robert Downey, Jr. Now THAT, to borrow a line from Little Richard, makes my big toe stand up in my boot.
